About Food Savers

A community-powered nonprofit reducing hunger by redirecting surplus food to families with dignity.

Who We Are

A local solution to two urgent problems: hunger and food waste.

Food Savers is based in Hyderabad and works every day to collect excess food from restaurants, homes, events, and weddings, then repackage and distribute meals to homeless people, white-collar families, slum communities, and others in need.

Food Savers what we do poster

Mission

To reduce food wastage and eliminate hunger by collecting safe surplus food and delivering it to people who need immediate meal support.

Vision

A Pakistan where no edible food is wasted while families sleep hungry, and every community has a reliable food rescue system.

Values

Dignity, hygiene, speed, transparency, respect for donors, and quiet care for families who may be struggling privately.

Community Fridge Model

For you it may be extra. For someone else, it could be their only meal of the day.

Food Savers places fridges in communities so surplus food can be shared responsibly. Instead of letting good food go to waste, donors can place clean and usable meals where the team can move them toward people in need.

Our Story

Built from one clear question: why should good food go to waste?

Food Savers began when local change makers saw excess food being discarded while families nearby were sleeping hungry. The idea grew into a practical rescue network of donors, riders, storage, packing, and doorstep distribution.

Community Concern

Restaurants, weddings, and homes had surplus food, while many families needed one-time meal support.

Food Rescue Model

The team organized collection calls, riders, hygiene checks, storage, packing, and registered family distribution.

Fridges & Partners

Community fridges and restaurant partners helped make surplus food drop-offs easier and more predictable.

Future Expansion

The long-term goal is to expand food distribution services to more Pakistani cities and feed one million people.

SDG 2030 Commitment

Building a hunger-free, waste-free, and sustainable future.

Food Savers aligns local food rescue with global Sustainable Development Goals by turning surplus meals into social relief, climate action, and stronger communities.

1

No Poverty

We reduce the food burden on vulnerable families, daily wage workers, and low-income households through accessible meal support.

2

Zero Hunger

We recover edible surplus food and redistribute it responsibly so no food goes to waste while people go hungry.

11

Sustainable Communities

Community refrigerators, awareness drives, volunteers, and residential partnerships help neighborhoods become cleaner and kinder.

12

Responsible Consumption

Our zero food waste vision diverts edible food from landfill and promotes responsible donation, storage, and sharing habits.

13

Climate Action

Every meal saved helps lower landfill pressure, methane emissions, and the carbon footprint created by avoidable food waste.

17

Partnerships

We collaborate with societies, restaurants, caterers, supermarkets, NGOs, volunteers, schools, and corporate partners for greater impact.

From surplus to sustainability.

Together, we can create zero hunger, zero food waste, zero landfill food disposal, sustainable communities, climate responsibility, and human dignity.
